The CANBE Community
Service Scholarship

The $2,000 CANBE Community Service Scholarship  is awarded annually to students who reside and volunteer in Nassau Bay. The scholarship supports students who are enrolled in post-secondary institutions and encourages continued community service and educational advancement. Applications open from June 1 through July 31, with winners announced in August.

Scholarship Details

• Award amount: $2,000

• Open to student residents of Nassau Bay

• Scholarship is available to students pursuing
        associate, trade, undergraduate, graduate,
        professional or doctoral degrees.

• Application period: June 1 - July 31

• Award Announcement: August

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a resident of Nassau Bay and have
  attended at least one year of high school while
  living and volunteering in Nassau Bay

• Must be enrolled or planning to enroll
  in a post-secondary institution

• Must demonstrate active involvement in
  community service that impacts Nassau Bay

Application Process

1. Complete the application form: CANBE
    Scholarship Application Form – Fill out form

2. Prepare a minimum 500-word essay
    addressing the following:

• Describe how you are of service and the
  positive impact it has made on your

  community.

• Explain how your volunteerism has
  had an impact on your life.

• Discuss how this scholarship will
  assist in furthering your education.

• Share what the opportunity to receive
  a post-secondary education means to you.

3. Provide proof of enrollment or acceptance
    into the post-secondary institution

4. Submit a current academic transcript
    (unofficial)

5. [OPTIONAL] Submit a short creative video
    (up to 2 minutes) to showcase Nassau Bay

6. Submit all paperwork including transcript,
    essay and proof of enrollment and short
    video to NBscholars@gmail.com

special projects to improve our Nassau Bay quality
of life and property values. The Community Association
for Nassau Bay Enhancement, Inc. (CANBE) is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. The CANBE tax identification number is 20-8555298.
